About Jim

Jim began an interest in photography in high school, borrowing his Father’s Roloflex and developing in a make shift dark room in the family home. While raising a family he mostly photographed family events and vacations but always learning to make photographs not take pictures. After retirement he purchased his first digital camera and photography became his main passion. He has attended workshops by corporate Photographer David Tejada, National Geographical Photographer and best selling author Joe McNally, Photographer and author Jim Divitale, and award winning Photographer and Watercolorist Becky Haletky. Jim’s work has been displayed at the Penbroke and James Library gallery’s in Massachusetts. He is a member of  Town and Country Fine Art Gallery. Jim also does pro bono work for the Vandalia Historical Society and the Dayton Humane Society.
